The project at a glance

Station [E]-Santé was created by a multidisciplinary group of healthcare and digital technology structures in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine area. This consortium brings together hospital institutions, socio-economic actors and scientific teams, including Aquitaine Science Transfert, CATIE, Charles Perrens Hospital, Côte Basque Hospital, Bordeaux University Hospital (CHU), Unitec and the University of Bordeaux.

Station [E]-Santé is a living lab—a third-space for experimentation—that connects its members with developers of digital health solutions, whether for diagnosis, prevention, or treatment, as well as with patients and frontline healthcare professionals.

It offers companies the opportunity to test their solutions in real-life conditions, both in clinical settings and in everyday user environments.

Thanks to user feedback, Station [E]-Santé helps assess the acceptability, effectiveness, usability, and integration of digital health solutions, ensuring that only truly useful and relevant tools reach the healthcare market.

Achievements

  • 11 solutions supported through the program: Dalia, Vulgaroo, NoctuaCare, Reciproq, E-calim, Louise, Flit, MyHospitel, Nuvocare, SoQut, KidCCARE

CATIE contribution

  • Identification of the concept, eligibility validation (medical relevance, solution maturity), studies (feasibility, actual user needs, data analysis, etc.), usability assessment and ergonomics.

  • Semi-structured interviews, in situ observations, and participatory workshops to gather expectations from end-users (healthcare professionals and patients) and understand field-related constraints.

  • User testing to validate prototypes and optimize the ergonomics of already deployed digital tools.
